Laggan Thoroughbred Piglet Races on Saturday 17th February will be an event not to be missed where trained athletic Piglets will negotiate a course at a crackling pace to be crowned the fastest snout in the trough!
The first race will be run at 12:30 pm on the grounds of major sponsor The Laggan Pub and this quirky sporting event is a must see to cheer on your favourite piglet, enjoy the live entertainment and food on offer.
Crookwell Rugby Union will collect gate entry of $5 for adults, children under 18 will be free. Lions will serve some delicious Pork sausages and Laggan Pub will have a selection of dishes that are sure to please.
The proceeds from the race day will go to Upper Lachlan Foundation to support local groups across the Upper Lachlan Shire. Actor and author, William McInnes, Patron of ULF, will be present on the day, no doubt gathering gems for his next book.
ULF Board Member, Chris Croker and organiser of the event stated, “This will be a great fun day for all ages, bring a chair, get into the spirit with friends and enjoy!”
